Coşkunöz Metal Form factory, a subsidiary of the Coşkunöz Holding, manufactures sheet metal body parts for the main industry automotive companies. The largest campus of the company in Bursa named CMF-1 is located on 30 decare land, and it will become 45 decares with the addition of the new facility. EEC Integrated Building Control Systems installed the fire detection and alarm system for the factory.
I have been working at Coşkunöz Metal Form for 3.5 years and I am in charge of 6 locations of the company. We cooperate with EEC at our CMF-1 location. Although I do not know about the time when the systems were first installed, I know that we have been cooperating with EEC for a long time. We are pleased to cooperate with EEC in this facility, which also includes our administrative building, to which we place utmost importance. Our company has a continuously-growing structure. In the past, regionally-installed conventional systems were used, but due to the problems such as false alarms and failure to make point-based detections, our Company started to cooperate with EEC. Rather than dealing with the maintenance and control of multiple panels, it was decided to install a more complex general system. EEC was chosen based on the recommendations received at that time.
One of the most useful properties of the OSID beam type detectors, which are part of our fire detection system, is that they are efficient, operate accurately and rarely trigger false alarms. The Fireworks software, which we installed this year, also has crucial benefits for us such as remote monitoring and remote intervention. We installed the Fireworks on the computer in our workshop and now we can view without loss of time, where the alarms come from and where there is an error, when an alarm is triggered. We can remotely control the points that we need to test or the areas that will be disabled due to work. This is also an important investment for us in terms of digitalization.
We have a maintenance agreement with EEC. We are in continuous contact and EEC provides us with maintenance services twice a year. Apart from that, we are pleased with the quality of the service we receive, particularly we obtain quick response from the co-workers when there is a problem regarding services, and we are in contact with each other continuously and receive feedback in a very short time.
When we have new projects, we also receive support from EEC such as quick feedback, field surveys and quick submission of quotations. We sometimes consult EEC and seek their advice. EEC helps us tremendously, both on the sales side and on the technical side.
We are satisfied with the efficiency and smooth operation of the VESDA air analysis smoke detection systems, which we use at several points in our system rooms. Another useful property is that it is an addressable system. This enables us to make on-target interventions. Thanks to the flexibility of the system, EEC's ability to make adjustments to the alarms and sirens according to our request is another useful property. We are pleased with the capability of the products to act according to our scenarios.
Our fire detection system prevented a few cases before they grew. On a weekend when the factory was closed, the cables ignited due to an arc in the machine panel. By detecting this situation, it prevented a fire. Likewise, in one of our distribution boards, the system quickly detected the smoke caused by the overheating and burning of the cables due to overcurrent. Thanks to the alarm triggered by the system, we responded in time and resolved the problem.
I surely recommend the products of EEC. Based on my previous experience and my current experience at Coşkunöz, I have already known EEC for many years. We were satisfied in both my previous employer and here in this company, and we are still satisfied. I strongly recommend EEC because its products fully meet our requirements.
There was no change in the service quality of EEC during the pandemic period and we continued in the same way. When the pandemic first started, we allocated our production to the equipment that will particularly serve the healthcare workers. Our production operations stopped in certain locations. Then we returned to our normal operations.
We commissioned the remote-controlled Fireworks system this year, and obtained substantial benefits. There were certain incidents that we detected before they were detected from the panel in the security. The Fireworks enabled us to instantly monitor and control remotely.
We can say that the quality of the products is 5 stars out of 5. When I compare them with similar products in terms of price-quality performance, I can say that they are at the same level. When we cooperate on a project basis, the prices are more reasonable. We are considering cooperating with EEC in our new facilities as well. The properties of the products meet all our expectations together with the remote monitoring software that we have just installed.
We have never had a problem with the deadlines. They have always complied with our deadline requests. For example, we converted our old type detectors into OSID. It took 4 to 5 days to install it, but it took longer because of us. We continued with the installation according to the production conditions. EEC has always complied with our deadlines and worked flexibly with us.
Our communication with the sales team is good and we obtain support from them in many projects. We can reach them whenever we give a call. The technical service team also responds to each of our requests. As we have a maintenance agreement, they conduct maintenance works twice a year. Apart from this, we implement very important works in the field together with the technical team of EEC. In case of emergency, they come within the same day or next day.
Obtaining regular maintenance for our system extends the life of the products because we particularly control the pollution rates of smoke detectors in our maintenance works. Subsequently, we clean the polluted-detectors. If we do not do this cleaning, we may face breakdowns and false alarms in the short term. We also detect defective detectors during the maintenance. During some maintenance work, we can quickly solve different problems that occur on the panel, thanks to the contribution of your staff. Signing a maintenance agreement is important for this purpose because the fire detection systems must always be active, available and ready in terms of human life and emergency cases. We try to ensure the continuity of the systems with the maintenance conducted by us.
The Fire Detection Systems are available in all our locations due to occupational health and safety, but it is not only legal regulations that bind us. Apart from this, we are frequently inspected by our clients. During these inspections, clients get us inspected by international audit companies. Auditors seriously question the emergency action plans and the status, location and efficiency of the fire alarm systems. Likewise, our fire detection system is questioned in our quality management systems and ISO audits.
Fire notification systems are a very important part of occupational safety. We are a company processing sheet metal, maybe our factory is not a facility that would burn very easily in case of emergency or fire, but it can still cause substantial financial damage for us. At this point, the presence of a system that controls the entire location brings us serious benefits. In the case of a fire that occurred at the weekend as I have mentioned; if we did not have a fire alarm and we could not detect the fire, maybe the panel of the machine or maybe the machine would have burned and become unusable. It would cause damage in thousands of Euros for us. Our fire detection system is an important part of us.
