I started working at Anadolu Efes Ankara Brewery in 2011. When I started, our fire detection system was already installed in our enterprise and other campuses. I can comment on the sections that have been added to the system subsequently, and I would like to say that we have not had any major problems so far.

When a problem occurs, the device automatically gives an error, and transmits this alert to us through the main server, thus ensuring ease of use. When a breakdown occurs and we need to replace it with the spare part, the system automatically identifies it; this is excellent. When your technical service staff comes for periodic maintenance, if there is a deficiency, they fix it. In addition, we can reach your technical service staff whenever we call them, and they always have a smiling face. When we have a request other than periodic maintenance times, they are very quick to come and fix it.
I have been working at Anadolu Efes Ankara Brewery for almost eight years. In these eight years, I have never had a problem with our fire detection system that could raise a question mark in my mind. It is impossible for the system to leave us halfway. If we had such hesitation and if there was a negative situation, we would not have thought of using the same application in our additional buildings. I will explain the most useful property of the products of EEC based on an incident we have experienced. An emergency occurred in the room where our server cabinets are located. There was a problem with the electronic cards of the UPS device and as a result, sirens and alarms were triggered. We saw that the smoke detectors in the room were detecting smoke. However, there were also heat-temperature detectors in the room, but only smoke detectors gave alerts. If we also received alerts from the heat detectors, the FM 200 Gas Suppression System would have activated and discharged the gas due to the cross zone scenario in the room. As we did not know the situation inside the room, we immediately intervened and discharged the gas suppression system into the room without opening the door of the room to avoid increasing the amount of oxygen inside. Then we opened the door to check it. The quick response time of the system actually saved us from the further growth of the incident.
Regarding ease of use, I can also say that when I started working in 2011, a computer was already installed for this system. The system was controlled by software installed on this computer. Also, EDWARDS had its own panels, a master and a slave in the field. It was also possible to control the system through these panels. On the computer, just like a SCADA system, we can see the map of our factory, zones created on this map and all detectors available in those zones. In other words, in case of a possible alert, we can broadly detect and capture the exact area through the map of the factory. I mean the serial communication of this system could only be monitored on that computer, but then we had an update request. As a result, we have integrated it into our own network over Ethernet, so we can use it as remote monitoring. For example, even if I am at home, I can ask that computer "Is there a problem?", and I can connect and control it. This is a very useful property for us.
I recommend EEC and its services and products. In fact, when I was asked, I shared the contact details of EEC with the companies that requested it.
I would like to add this as a good benefit: Fire detection systems in our enterprise were installed by EEC Company. However, in the subsequent years, the card access system was integrated by another company. The good thing about the system installed by EEC is that while we were planning these fire zones and creating the zone maps, we were able to easily get the information from EEC in which zone there was a fire or the alarms were triggered, and easily integrated them into our other systems. I think it is a very useful system from this point of view.
There is no point open to discussion in terms of both brand and quality of the products. Today EDWARDS is among ‘‘one of the best brands in the world’’. Of course, depending upon the area of use, the product might expire earlier or might be negatively affected by the physical conditions, as it might happen to any other products. For example, although the detectors that we use in offices have been operating smoothly for many years, congestion might occur in the devices used in more open and dusty environments due to the physical conditions. Of course, periodic maintenance is very important here. After all, the principle should not be “We installed a system and forgot it”. This means that we should always support it with periodic controls.
In my opinion, EEC is a company that always works within a plan and schedule. They come for maintenance on the specified date, and if there is an extra job to be done, they comply with the specified dates. They have always remained faithful to the conditions indicated in the quotation. Whether it is maintenance or technical issues, we are very satisfied with your staff. We also thank them as they have knowledge and experience in their own fields.
