Located in Ataşehir, the most active business district on the Anatolian Side, Radisson Blu Hotel is just a few minutes from the center of the European Side as it is located at the junction of both bridges connecting Anatolia and Europe. Radisson Blu Hotel Istanbul Asia, which is chosen by guests accommodating in the city for both business and travel purposes, is a 16-floor building with 195 rooms. The hotel turns even business trips into a pleasant accommodation experience with its Turkish Bath ritual at the Spa center in winter, and refreshing cocktails in the outdoor pool in summer.
Radisson Blu Hotel, constructed in Ataşehir by Ant Yapı, has chosen EEC's engineering services and the Edwards Fire Detection Systems, which it has been safely using for many years, without compromising on security, while offering its customers comfort and technology together.
For the fire alarm system, special solutions were generated for the project by using products such as detector sockets with buzzers that can trigger alarms independently and selected from the wide product range of Edwards, as well as a smoke removal panel with led indicator and switch, graphic monitoring software, etc.
In the general areas of the hotel, fire warnings are issued visually with flashers and supported with the announcements made from the emergency announcement system. In the technical areas, flasher sirens are used. The Edwards' Genesis range flashers and flasher sirens offer ideal solutions for different size areas with adjustable sound level and light intensity. For emergency announcements to be made through the music broadcasting system, music broadcasting can be interrupted by using the control modules of the fire alarm system, and pre-recorded messages are transmitted.
Apart from the fire alarm panel available in the IT room, there is also a fire alarm repeater panel in the ground floor lobby to monitor the alarms. The smoke removal panel with LED indicator and switch available in the security center outside the building, specially designed according to the needs of the project, also serves as a repeater panel with its LCD indicator.
The smoke removal panel can operate in integration with the fire alarm panel, and monitors and controls points such as motorized/fusible wire fire dampers, exhaust fans and air handling units in the hotel.
With duct-type optical smoke detectors placed in the vents of the air handling units that provide fresh air into the building, it is inspected whether there is smoke in the fresh air taken from outside.
The Fireworks Control Software ensures data communication between the fire alarm panel and the user and executes all fire control operations. Thanks to this software, all devices monitored and controlled by the fire alarm system can be graphically viewed on architectural plans, and in case of possible alarm situations, it is possible to quickly access the architectural plans of the relevant areas and make detailed reviews on the plans.
The UTC Edwards carbon monoxide gas detection systems were installed to control the risk in the parking lots of the building. With the Edwards KM range gas detection systems manufactured and certified in accordance with UNE Standards, the amount of carbon monoxide in closed spaces can be detected before it reaches more dangerous levels.
The UTC recorders were chosen for the CCTV and video control systems of the Radisson Blu Ataşehir, and continuous monitoring is ensured with the JVC cameras connected to these systems.
