Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital was founded in 1988 in Fulya and provides A+ services with its 60-bed capacity, 6 operating rooms, intensive care unit and polyclinics in an indoor area of 5.000 sqm. An average of 18.000 patients receive services at the hospital, 25% of whom come from abroad, and 500 surgeries are performed every month.
Within the scope of the renovation of the hospital electromechanical systems in terms of energy efficiency, the Johnson Controls (JCI) Facility Explorer (FX) range building automation system products and the HVAC automation system renovation were undertaken by EEC in 2016.
The HVAC automation system that was designed in accordance with hospital hygiene conditions ensures the ventilation, heating, cooling and humidity control of the operating rooms, intensive care unit, polyclinics and patient rooms based on the 24-hour operating principle.
To prevent the growth of bacteria in hygienic environments, it is required to ensure air circulation that is filtered in the right amount, at the right temperature and humidity values. The JCI PCG range building automation system and the DDC controllers ensure the air circulation needs of the hygienic areas through the air handling unit control. In addition, the JCI PCV Range VAV controllers were used to always ensure minimum air volume in the operating rooms and air flow from the corridor to the operating rooms. The JCI FX Range Network Supervisor devices were used as a central management device. The JCI FX Network Supervisor devices were designed to operate on a 24/7 basis with their industrial designs and embedded operating systems, and keep system alarm and trend records in their internal memories and enable the operator to manage the system through a standard WEB browser.
