The story of Evyap, which started with production of soaps in Erzurum in 1927, currently continues in over 100 countries with a wide range of products in 3 different categories: personal cleaning, personal care and hygiene products. Realizing a significant part of Turkey's exports of soaps and personal care products Evyap is among the top 100 Turkish industrial companies. The company has a turnover of 1.2 billion TRY, including turnover in foreign currency in the amount of 350 million USD. It has a total of 2.600 employees in Turkey and abroad.
The Ayazağa Factory Buildings, founded on an outdoor area of 253.000 sqm, where Evyap's Soap Plant was located, moved to the Tuzla Factory Buildings with an indoor area of 22.000 sqm on land of 285.000 sqm in Tuzla.
Evyap preferred EEC for the security needs of its existing buildings and its new buildings added to the area, during the transfer process, as it has done for over 15 years.
Evyap has preferred the engineering solutions offered by EEC since 2004. The cooperation process, which started with the installation of the camera and fire security systems for the Ayazağa Factories in 2005, continued with the installation of the camera and fire security systems at the Hygiene Factory in 2010. The ongoing professional cooperation based on trust for many years has gained momentum again in the process of transferring the Ayazağa Factories to Tuzla. The systems are continuously renovated and expanded with the extensions of the transfer process over time and the addition of new buildings in line with the emerging needs of the growing facilities.
In this process, project design, materials supply, engineering and commissioning services were provided by EEC. EEC continues to install the IP CCTV and fire safety systems at the Evyap Tuzla facilities. EEC operates in accordance with the EN54-14 European Standard in the project.
By combining the Evyap Factories in one location, the total indoor area of the project is spread over an area of 166.500 sqm.
High performance was achieved for the project by using the VESDA produced by the Xtralis Company, which has the capability to eliminate detection difficulties in industrial facilities, and the Edwards EST3 high-level fire detection product manufactured by the UTC Company, which offers programming properties with its infrastructure suitable for expansion.
According to the regional characteristics of the project, products that have different properties such as beam type smoke detector and flame detector were used. In the production department that has alcohol contents, ex-proof beam type smoke detectors were chosen by taking the sudden flaming effects into consideration. The VESDA active aspirating smoke detectors that have high detection precision were used specifically for the project by considering the ceiling height and the high risk in the field.
For the camera systems, 160 Panasonic brand cameras, which are highly praised by customers for their success in performance tests, were used. The system that was initially installed with 50 cameras is progressively expanded with the capability of the SeeTec software to support the added cameras. Even the most remote points are equipped by a system that can be monitored from a single center. In this way, the security problems arising from distance were prevented.
Besides, the old point type detector systems of a different brand existing in the factory were replaced with the state-of-the-art fire safety systems offered by EEC. Maintenance services are also provided by EEC.
